it is known that mental nurses require a more in-depth experience in caring for patients and border knowledge on how to accomplish a plan that looks after most of thepatient's needs and situation... a more holistic way to approach nursing and patient education as to other RNs who work in the other areas of nursing...
since it has a demand on expertie on a specific area, the pay for a mental health nurse is realtively better than other nurses.. normal hourly rate of 40-50.. it is around 10-15 more than average pay rate..

seems like u have to undertake an exam after 2yrs of the field experience and MSN is recommended to be taken since it helps the RN to get better job opportunities andbetter pay rate..
