While we work some more on the gameplay, we figured we'd start showing some of the key differences this game has over the original SFH1&2.
To begin, lets look at the characters.
As you'll notice, there's now a very long list of selectable characters. But, this time around the characters have many built in stats. So rather than sticking to one or two characters throughout the whole game, you'll constantly be unlocking and playing as newer characters.
Each character has slightly different stats, a built in passive, and a weapon proficiency (gun bonus).
While each character has their own built in passive and weapon proficiency, every character can equip any weapon in the game. Now instead of restricting you to certain weapons, characters simply perform better with certain weapons. If you don't want to use their special gun bonus, you can instead equip any weapon you want!
Also, now that characters have their passives built in, it's sell possible to equip a second passive skill to further customize your character (more on skills at a later date).
Note:
Remember this isn't Strike Force Heroes 3, it's instead a spinoff with very different gameplay. This is why we're taking a different approach to the unlock system. Rather than sticking with 1 character and upgrading, it feels much better in this game to continually unlock new characters to see what everyone has to offer. Hopefully we'll be able to show off some more gameplay soon so you'll be able to get a better idea of how the game exactly plays out.
