The recruits at Quantico are back at it andthis week’s lesson involves hostage rescues. Will Alex be at the top of hergame now that she’s read her father’s file and knows the truth about him? Backin the present day, Simon was revealed to be working for FBI Deputy DirectorClayton (Mark Pellegrino), despite being kicked out of the Academy. Can Alextrust him to help her?
We’ve seen an advanced screener of thisweek’s episode, “Kill,” and thought we’d offer up a quick preview. We don’twant to spoil things for anyone but can share a few teases to help tide you overuntil Sunday night. Here’s what we’ve got for you:
1. ALEX IS FINE!
What you don’t believe me? Go ahead and askher, she’ll tell you herself the same thing. While people like Shelby and Ryanboth seem to be worried how she’s taking the news about her father being a heroand not a deadbeat, all Alex keeps doing is insisting to everyone that she’scompletely fine with it. Somehow we think she won’t be able to keep up herschedule of early morning workouts, training sessions and killing it duringlessons, but then again Shelby may be right and she’s just “a terminator.”
2. RAINA IS HAVING A HARD TIME WITHOUTNIMAH
OK it’s not very surprising that Rainaimmediately feels the effects of having to participate in everything 24/7 nowthat Nimah has left her alone at Quantico. We see her struggle right from theget go when the candidates are given an early morning gun test. Miranda startsto notice something may be up with the twins. Can she keep up the charade?
3. RYAN’S MISSION IS CHANGING
Remember how Ryan is secretly working forAgent O’Connor and keeping tabs on Alex? This week O’Connor comes to him andinforms Ryan that his mission, as far as it pertains to his fellow candidate,is now changing. What will his new mission entail?
4. RYAN AND NATALIE A COUPLE?
In the present day it would seem like thesetwo are now together and it turns out Natalie is the jealous type. From what weknow of her so far that shouldn’t really come as a surprise to anyone, and shewants to know why Ryan was at Alex’s apartment at 6 a.m. Will he have toexplain that one away?
5. HOW GOOD ARE YOU AT YOUR WORST?
That’s the question at the center of thisweek’s Quantico training session for the recruits. They are all learning alesson in hostage rescue and as Miranda tells them, it doesn’t matter what youdo at your best, it’s how you perform when you’re at your worst that trulymatters. At least that’s what Deputy DirectorClayton seems to be accusing Agent O’Connor of. Remember last week when Simonwas revealed to still be working for Director Clayton? Well he wants to usethat connection this week to have Simon keep Alex busy so they can grab her.When things don’t go as planned, Clayton starts to suspect there may be someonebehind the information leak on O’Connor’s team. It’s an accusation O’Connordoesn’t take lightly and as you can imagine a confrontation happens between thetwo men.
7. HARRY POTTER IS THE NEW JAMES BOND?
Don’t be surprised if Simon turns out to bethe best candidate at one of the hostage negotiation lessons. There’s one thatinvolves testing candidates on quickly figuring out friends or foes during atest run and shooting only when appropriate.
