Mariah, joined by producer Lee Daniels, talks about her new film Tennessee, which opens Dec. 5 in Los Angeles and select theaters in March 2009, in an exclusive interview with Access Hollywood.
Mariah Carey: "There's definitely a lot of intensity to the character that I'm playing. Seriously, it was such an experience to be able to have someone believe in me and no matter what you go through.
Lee Daniels: "Let's admit it, after the 'G' word. You can say Glitter."
MC: Aah! [laughs]
LD: It's okay. I thought you were solid in it.
MC: Hmm, you know. Thank you. Most people don't want to give you a chance branching out doing other things creatively but for me it's something that I really need to do and it's something that I really enjoy doing. It helps me grow as a person."
