        《当你老了》
        叶芝
        WHEN YOU ARE OLD
         When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
         And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
         And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
        Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
         How many loved your moments of glad grace,
         And loved your beauty with love false or true,
         But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
         And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
         And bending down beside the glowing bars,
         Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
         And paced upon the mountains overhead
         And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

          一个男人与上帝的对话
          A man died, and when he realized it, he saw GOD coming closer with a suitcase in his hand.

          A dialog between GOD and dead man.

          -GOD: Alright son, its time to go.
          -Man(Surprised): Now? So soon? I have a lot of plans...
          -GOD: I'm sorry, but its time to go.

          -Man: What do you have in that suitcase?
          -GOD: Your belongings.
          -Man: My belongings? You mean my things...my clothes, my money?
          -GOD: Those things were not yours. They belonged to the Earth.

          -Man: Is it my memories?
          -GOD: Those never belonged to you. They belonged to Time.

          -Man: Is it my talents?
          -GOD: Those were never yours. They belonged to Circumstances.

          -Man: Is it my friends and family?
          -GOD: No son, they were never yours. They belonged to the Path you traveled.

          -Man: Is it my wife and children?
          -GOD: I'm sorry they were never yours. They belonged to your heart.

          -Man: Then it must be my body!
          -GOD: No No...It belonged to the dust.

          -Man: Then surely it must be my soul!
          -GOD: You are sadly mistaken, son. Your soul belongs to me.

          Full of fear the man took the suitecase from GOD and opened it——EMPTY!!!

          With heart broken and tears down his cheek, he asks GOD...
          -Man: I never owned anything?
          -GOD: That is correct. You never owned anything.
          -Man: Then, what was mine?
          -GOD: Your MOMENTS. Every moment you lived was yours.

          ******************

          Life is just a MOMENT.
          LIVE IT.
          LOVE IT.
          ENJOY IT!
          Don't let anything that you think you own stop you from doing so.

            He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven

            He wishes for the cloths of heaven

            Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,

            Enwrought with golden and silver light,

            The blue and the dim and the dark cloths

            of night and light and the half-light,

            I would spread the cloths under your feet:

            But I, being poor, have only my dreams;

            I have spread my dreams under your feet,

            Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
            他希冀天国的锦缎

            他希冀天国的锦缎

            若我有天国的锦缎,

            以金银色的光线编织,

            还有湛蓝的夜色与洁白的昼光

            以及黎明和黄昏错综的光芒,

            我将用这锦缎铺展在你的脚下。

            可我,如此贫穷,仅仅拥有梦;

            就把我的梦铺展在你的脚下,

            轻一点啊,因为你脚踩着我的梦。

                葬礼蓝调
                作者:W.H.奥登〔英裔美国〕
                翻译:娜斯
                停止所有的时钟,切断电话
                给狗一块浓汁的骨头,让他别叫
                黯哑了钢琴,随着低沉的鼓
                抬出灵柩,让哀悼者前来。
                让直升机在头顶悲旋
                在天空狂草着信息他已逝去,
                把黑纱系在信鸽的白颈,
                让交通员戴上黑色的手套。
                他曾经是我的东,我的西,我的南,我的北,
                我的工作天,我的休息日,
                我的正午,我的夜半,我的话语,我的歌吟,
                我以为爱可以不朽:我错了。
                不再需要星星,把每一颗都摘掉,
                把月亮包起,拆除太阳,
                倾泻大海,扫除森林;
                因为什么也不会,再有意味。
                Funeral Blues
                By W H Auden
                Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
                Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
                Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
                Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
                Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
                Scribbling on the sky the message 'He is Dead'.
                Put crepe bows round the white necks of the publicdoves,
                Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
                He was my North, my South, my East and West,
                My working week and my Sunday rest,
                My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
                I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.
                The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
                Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
                Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood;
                For nothing now can ever come to any good.
