a corn’s problem

只看楼主收藏回复

it was yesterday after work when i was at the self service counter in the supermarket with 2 corns in my hand. i started with c but didn’t find the corn on the counter. that was a bit of surprise. i then started with m thinking it can’t be maize because i never heard people use that word here. no wonder that maize was not on the counter either. so i had to ask staff. when she came, she started with s straight away and ended up with sweet corn. wtf?!
it is fair to have potatoes and sweet potatoes because the two ate completely different. but it really is not to have corns and sweet corns.
background good-to-knows: the self service counter has a computer on it and you have to find the things you are buying by their names to have the total amount calculated.
